It has been one of ICR's greatest honors to oversee quality assurance for the restoration of the Brooklyn Bridge for the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) working for Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI). For the last four years, ICR has had a full-time presence on the project site ensuring that the historic materials that comprise the Bridge (the approach ramps, the anchorages, and the towers) have been restored responsibly and are physically and aesthetically in balance with the original Roebling intent.
This project has most certainly been a team effort, and we at ICR are grateful to the NYC DOT and GPI for entrusting us with this awesome responsibility, to Navillus/MLJ JV for leading the construction effort, and to Pullman for their dedicated masonry restoration craftspeople and project management team.
